The Fabbro Nutcracker Plate Green 29cm brings a piece of Christmas storytelling to the table. A nutcracker soldier is hand-painted across the plate in a bold off-centre composition, his emerald green tunic trimmed with looping yellow braid and a gold epaulette at the shoulder, a black belt with a brass buckle at his waist. Above it all sits a black bicorn hat edged in gold, framing a snowy white beard, rosy cheeks and wide blue eyes painted with the loose, expressive brushwork of a hand-finished piece. The clean white glaze and gently coupe rim leave plenty of open space around him, so the character reads clearly whether the plate is set for Christmas lunch or displayed on a dresser through the season.
