Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Benjamin Young, the founder of Frank Green. We dive into his journey of developing innovative products and the challenges Frank Green faced along the way, as well as the vision for the future of sustainable consumer goods.

Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the creation of Frank Green?
When I was a child, I used to play down by the river near my house every afternoon, fishing, skipping stones, and feeling like Huckleberry Finn. Whenever it rained my paradise was ruined; plastic rubbish came pouring down the river. I was shocked when I learned that every single piece of plastic ever made still exists today – unless we stop making it.
My mum instilled the idea that there’s no such word as ‘can’t’, so for years I thought about how I can fix this problem. That drive to make an impact on singleuse plastic waste and do something great for the environment never left me. Fast forward to 20 years later when I was working as an executive, I realised that I now had the business experience to do something about it

Why is sustainability important to you as a brand?
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at frank green. All kids deserve to feel like Huckleberry Finn, playing outside in an environment that isn’t littered with single-use plastic waste, and we all have responsibility to create a future where they can. That means continuing to listen to our customers to design and engineer products that they love to use over and over again, from the time they get up in the morning until they go to bed – eliminating the need for single-use plastic.
How has Frank Green evolved since its inception, and what has been the company’s proudest moment so far?
I started frank green with a simple and honest approach to sustainability – to reduce single-use plastic by reimagining cups and bottles. Now it’s our mission to create holistic solutions that are built to last and great for the planet, across a range of categories including reusables, home, pets and more. We have a purposeful new product development pipeline for 2023 and beyond. I’m proud every day of what frank green has achieved but I believe the best is still yet to come!
What inspired the design of your reusable cups and bottles?
Good design goes beyond looking
good. Our products are steeped in
