This BURRATA BERRY WATERMELON AND CHERRY BOARD is sure to give your table some wow factor these holidays. Created by Nutritionist, Jacqueline Alwill, @brownpapernutrition, making the most of seasonal cherries, raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, lime, tossed with freshly sliced basil, and of course generous serves of burrata, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Simple foods, maximum flavour, presented beautifully on the Robert Gordon Table of Plenty Oval Platter Natural.


Serves 6-10

Ingredients

¼ watermelon, cut into 2cm cubes

3 punnets strawberries, green end trimmed and flesh sliced

1 cup basil leaves, finely shredded

2 punnets raspberries

1 lime

3x 200g burrata or fresh mozzarella cheese

Good quality extra virgin olive oil


To serve: fresh sourdough bread 

Method

  • 01

    Arrange about ¾ of the watermelon and strawberries over the oval platter, leaving some space to place the burrata cheese.

    Sprinkle about ¾ basil around the fruit, then arrange the raspberries around the platter.

  • 03

    Gently place the burrata into your allocated spaces on the board.

  • 04

    Finish with the remaining watermelon and strawberries, basil then squeeze all over with fresh lime.

    Drizzle the burrata with good quality extra virgin olive oil and serve with sourdough bread.
