About Riedel
GRAPE VARIETY SPECIFIC - RIEDEL'S BENCHMARK SINCE 1986, LEAD CRYSTAL, MACHINE-BLOWN IN BAVARIA/GERMANY
Introduced in 1986, Vinum was the first machine-made series of glasses in history to be based exclusively on the characteristics of quality, reasonably price and wide distribution. Vinum has had a permanent impact on the globe's wine glass culture. These glasses have proved to consumers and restaurateurs that the pleasure of consuming wine starts with the glass. The Vinum collection, developed by Georg Riedel on the principle that the content commands the shape, is the "Vitrum-Vinothek" for every day use.
Available from Minimax online and Minimax in-store.
Key Features
Gift boxed in pairs. CAUTION: these products are grape-varietal specific. Using them correctly will prove they are not simply glasses, but tools for wine enjoyment. VINUM (1986) is Riedel's basic stemmed series. This series was created by Georg J. Riedel, based on the Sommeliers range, in order to make Riedel varietal-specific glassware more accessible to the general consumer. Different opinions on the ideal cognac glass are as old as the drink itself. Even today, cognac is mainly served in wide tulip-shaped glasses - in spite of the disadvantages which this traditional shape has for the enjoyment of cognac. The differences in colour, aroma and taste are the features by which the quality of a cognac is judged. The finely tuned shape of this glass harmonizes the aroma and the taste, tempering the alcohol and the stringency of the palate and emphasizing the bouquet. The flute-shaped glass allows its contents a very small evaporation surface. You will be surprised to detect no pungent fumes but only delicately balanced aromas, reminiscent of a summer meadow. All Riedel glasses are dishwasher safe.Cleaning Care | Machine-made and dishwasher safe. |
